I notice that just about all of the threads on this website design forum get hundreds of views and yet only a handful of comments.

Surely the idea of this forum is to give comments.
It only takes a few minutes.

And we are all helping each other.

For me, sometimes it takes more than a few minutes, especially if I am checking links etc., reading the content, explaining what is in error or the positive side of the website, and the whys.

From my own personal opinion, with the NEW and Improved Website Review Rules - Read before posting appear to be very long, perhaps shutting down some of the Members from providing a website review. The original Administrator DaveMo~, had guidelines for the Website Review Rules that were to the point, understandable and reasonable.

True, it does take a bit of time.

But I have had 200 views to my review request.
And only a few of them have clicked on my website
And no reviews so far.

Why bother to view the post of you are not even going to look at the website?

Forums always have more people lurking and reading than actually participating in the conversation. I think I've seen stats where at best you might expect 10% of the people visiting a forum to create posts and threads.

That's just the way it is and nothing wrong with it either. Lots of people visit to learn something or be entertained. Not everyone needs to post.

As far as your review request I know I don't offer as many as I used to because they do take time to be useful. I also see a lot of people asking for reviews without taking the time to review sites for others. I know that's not you, but it tends to make me ignore the section at times.

However since you did ask I went ahead and offered a review. Hopefully it will help get others to add some thoughts as well.

But in general don't expect every view of a thread to lead to a comment. Most people who view aren't going to leave a comment and that's perfectly fine.
