its been 30 days I believe. either way I would like a review of my website http://www.prankhard.com/portal.php

I totally redesigned it. it is now a portal/forum, and some stuff is still in construction, just check it out though and tell me what you think about portal/forum.

if possible review the portal, review the forum then average out the score between both.

oh yea and im applying for the WT award

Hello Josh,

Your site is a very good mixture of colors. The logo is seemingly very impressive and depicts the details of your site. A very good choice indeed.

But the banner above doesn't seems to align perfectly with the logo and navigation bar below. It seems a bit ackward. try aligning it.

Try keeping some space between the tables, it will sort out the looks of viewers. Because most of the viewers make a steady desicion of first llok they have.

But all in all it's a good loking site which beautifully aligns into an forum.

Hi ghettocars,

Overall, I think that there's just too much unused space. It looks very awkward because the text is too small and the headers are too big. I see this "unused space" problem most noticeably in the heading (with your logo and ad banner). I can't pinpoint what exactly looks wrong, but I really don't like the feel of the site.

The site, however, is very organized, and it impresses me even more that you haven't used a content manager. I would recommend that you pull away any ties to phpBB, however. The phpBB icons that you have used on your top nav-bar don't fit in with the scheme.

I have only looked verry quickly at the site but I like the colors (Iowa State colors

). The images in your top nav bar look out of place because they have a meant for a white background. The other thing I noticed you might improve is the padding on the main content. The text looks so near to the border that it is hard on the eyes and typographically not very appealing. Your content looks good and I like the logo. It might be nice if it had a little color accents. As always the popunders are quite annoying but i guess i can forgive you. Good job.

ok now I got to say loads of things for the review.

First off, thx for the compliments of the colors and the logo

I really got good taste when it comes to colors, ive noticed that lately.

ok now the the bad parts.

Conker: I really, truly agree with you. I dont like the feel of the site either, makes me uncomfortable, I saw the same there the too much unused space, but I couldnt pinpoint it either so I was hoping one of you did

Cell padding- will work on this, heh its always been one of my problems.

Pop-unders - hey im trying to make a good decent amount of $$$

images - whoa thx lots there, will update this A.S.A.P, I usually carefully look over everything, I cant believe I skipped on this. Thx for the info.

make text bigger

anything else? what about forum?

ok added cell padding took off images made text bigger.

I changed some colors around, check it out. And I dont know how to resolve the space thingy...well it kinda looks better now dont ya think?

Hi Ghetto,

I think you still need cell padding. The text is too close to the tables. You might consider making the left side bar and the center column narrower.

There is a lot of empty space. Sometimes it just takes time to fill this up. You could take the rules out of the center and put them in the left side bar. That might take some of the empty space and the page might not be so long.

The top navigation would look better on a single line. You can accomplish this by changing Login to check your private messages to Inbox Login.

The subscribe form for the newsletter is kinda' not lined up.

I've got Pop-Up Stopper, so the pop-ups don't bother me anymore. If I understand correctly, it also makes it so that people don't get credit for the pop-ups. I suggest using them sparingly, and not on the home page.

Someone mentioned content management, and I think that your purposes would be better served with some content management rather than a forum.

Overall looks good, colors really work for the site too

Layout looks clean and theres only 1 thing i would suggest and thats your content rating should be shown on the main page as you had a pop-up that had adult content on it

Not XXX but was at least NC17...

other than that i couldnt really find any problems
