I took my original portfolio site offline in July 2011 (and replaced with a temporary 'new website coming soon' etc) thinking it would motivate me to hurry up and get my new (responsive) website boxed off.

...how wrong I was! Just over 9 months later, it is finally ready at last

I always like to give my portfolio redesigns a really modern, clean, abstract look. Gradients are always a no-no when it comes to my portfolio (and a lot of my other work these days) and for this site I decided to base the type on DIN Mittelschrift as opposed to Helvetica Neue like in the previous versions.

Feedback and constructive criticism is much appreciated

I like your design, but the only thing i would change is your background.
If you didn't notice the background flickers to a light blue when you scroll up or down, and that's probably because of the pattern you used.

Wow, your site's design is pretty nice. I like the vectorized look and how everything is laid out. Great work there. I also looked through your work for other sites. You are talented for sure.

It's good for a portfolio site. I like the layout, the colour scheme.

My only crticism would be guide prices for each project/design. Acting as a potential hirer, I was reluctant to contact you because I had abosolutly no idea of the costs involved. I know a lot of designers require a contact initial start before quoting prices, but a simple guide would be useful IMO

eg: this website is in the £500-£2000 bracket

Hmmm I've read different opinions on this really. I'm not sure prices / packages are really suitable for a portfolio site, but who knows maybe I'll add some in depending on how things go

Thanks! Basically just because it looks cool that way haha. In a similar way to whitespace. Also to make the headings more prominent.

Good look & feel but the background is not eye soothing. Your navigation is also user friendly. One more thing - you have to add a Logo on your site.

Generally good but a major usability issue - the links on portfolio page - all changes happen beneath the fold for me - bad for naive users.
