Just lately I've been working on Webmarsters, which is a new forum for webmasters and is sculpted around the likes of the old Webmaster Talk.

Could I have your opinion on the design and system choices that I've made on the site? How does it look? What do you think of the name?

I'm aware of the lack of users, I haven't promoted it yet and I'm seeking your opinion on how it looks face-value.

Feedback much appreciated. Feel free to join in and get it started, by the way. I'll be on the look out for potential co-admins and moderators.

A direct copy and paste of a portion of my post wasn't exactly the feedback I was looking for.

Great work on the design. Perhaps you can add more sections like Graphics under Web Design, etc.

I will add more, especially requests like yours which I just added. Thanks.

Awesome! It's a Winner!

Hello Rich,

I wouldn't change a thing on design, color, or anything else. Later on you might add sub categories, right now the site is awesome and displayed very well.

Loads pretty fast too! I was laughing though at your "News and Announcements" with the "New User Titles," good call. It took me 600 posts to be able to have a custom user title at Webmaster-Talk, later on they reduced the posts to 250. For the Members this was pretty special to have a custom user title back then, also to be able to change your avatar as often as you so desired, due to Graphic Designers being able to show their talents.

The Forum Rules are pretty simple, I was wondering maybe at the top of the pages? just my opinion.

Now I am going to be picky, on the Crown the gradient is very nice, on the bottom there are black smudges in the color. One error in the validator.....

Best wishes on your new Webmarsters Forum, Rich!

A bit picky - don't like having to scroll horizontally, especially as it means most of the Register link is missing for me.

i like the name although it can be very tricky! You need a logo where the word "webmarster" to very well visible because the users can be very confused when seraching for your forum! i'm sure 95% of them will not notice the slighly diffrence between webmaster and webmarster and will search for the first term!

i hope you get my idea!

Regards

I am really surprised to see such a nice designed forum. Wonderful work done there Galaxian, I am totally agreed with Giselle. She is right. I would also not to change a thing on your website design, color, or anything else. I am wondering how your website got PR 3! It's a new forum you said but still having PR 3? Here is the data I got for your domain:
Updated Date: 04-apr-2012
Creation Date: 04-apr-2012
Expiration Date: 04-apr-2014

Wonderful man! Add more contents so that it will get good traffic as well.

Forum is not bad. But, for the first you must add more content (articles, news etc), not copy from other sites. Or hire people who will do it.

The forum is average for me. I joined though. It doesn't have the newest look on the block but hopefully the content and discussions will make it a solid place to chat.

Sorry,

But I think there are too many webmaster sites as it is.

Many of them have little activity.

Its only worth joining a forum if there is some activity.

Better to support one or two sites that are active than 10 that are not.
