Hi ISEDB,

I can see that you are another one of those directories going after the "clean", simplistic look. While I do admire that style, I feel that there are ways to improve the readability of your site.

For some reason, I find the links very distracting when I look at this page. Perhaps you shouldn't make them as bold and striking. The listings under "Recent Articles" look very awkward, especially when they take up more than one line. After you take care of the links, I would work on the formatting there as well. However, I would like to comment on the ads. I love them because they look exactly like Google - clean and effective!

Instead of including 10 "recent listings", include only 5. It's making the page quite long, and you want to avoid that if possible. I see that the 10 listings on other pages of your site (I'm looking at the www.isedb.com/news/ right now) take up a lot of space as well. I strongly recommend that you shorten your descriptions and limit the amount of listings here to 7.

The individual articles look pretty well-formatted. I must say that the "Ratings" box sticks out a bit, as the color doesn't blend it at all with everything else. I also must ask - why do you include two rating boxes, next to and under each article?

Overall: 7.1

Hi ISEDB,

My first impression was - there is an awful lot of 'Text' here! - where's all the graphics?

Still, colours are 'nice' - layout? 'OK' - banner, I don't like!

Overall, not bad! keep up the good work!

Cheers
