Hello,

I am a marketing specialist, not a web designer. I had someone design this page for me but I'm wondering what improvements could be made to make it more professional and such?

Thanks All

Hi 1st!

I would suggest that you add the overview of services into the introduction paragraph. I don't think it would overwhelm the user.
Right now the overview of services shows up on the right of the main introduction and is also lower than the main paragraph. I think it should be vertically alligned to start at the same height right next to the main paragraph.

The business man standing on your page has a light source coming from his right side and in front of him however his shadow is casting in the wrong direction. It should be going to the viewers left.

The graphic design on your site is pretty basic, but the site is organized and the content is there.

With some graphic improvements I think your site could have a finished touch.

Good luck with it,
-Line

I agree with Line and would like to add that the menu area needs lifting a touch, it`s to small and needs to stand out better, nice site, simple and does the job, good luck.

I suggest you to shot the one that made it for you
On a serious note: more image editing: shadows, images, anything to make it more attractive. Lose Times New Roman and go for Arial, Verdana, Helvetica, Tahoma ..
The site is to "two-tone". Make it with more colours, play with the layout .. Not bad, but surely you could have it made better.

Good luck with the projects and hope you're not upset

Your website is too simple to grab attention.
I suggest you show a few categories on the index page.Give a short description of some of your best services with cool graphics.
I suggest you change the layout of your site.

Maybe you can add a line to the navigation links to make clear that's the navigation menu. Maybe they should be a bit bigger too.

If I were you, I would change the Times New Roman font of the body texts into something that suits with the modern looks of the logo and the rest of the website. Tahoma 10px or something?

Hiya!

Ok, comments!
1. Your site has no back coding to entice search engines, this is a priority! Do a google search on "search engine optimisation" for ideas.
2. The colours are too stark for me, but I like the logo, its clean and well cut.
3. The initial text looks a little "scrappy", although the HMTL behind it is clean and well presented.
4. Graphics, hmmm....for me, kinda plain, they wouldnt inspire me, even just using a fine black border around photos gives classier look.
5. On your "Design & Printing" page, you have no showcase of your work, and nothing for a user to "see". Only your words, y'know?

Overall, its neat, tidy enough and easy to navigate, but lacks polish and artistic flair, which marketing and such really does require these days!

Id only offer a 5/10 for overall "look" though...*sorry!*
Cheers, scotia

Grrr, copying my style of reviewing, grrr. I'll bite you. lol, jk.

1) Terrible menu rollovers. Never use contrasting colours. Always use harmonious colours. I suggest that you have them as a gradient, and on rollover a more subtle change.

2) Although Times New Roman is serif (flow across the page easier) in web design, that font is often shunned upon. Try using various fonts in one CSS property (e.g. Arial, Helvetica, Verdana).

3) The blue man is annoying. He is far too bitty. I suggest that you use a normal stock photo and add a scratched edge to it e.g:

4) Your logo is fine, but in the wrong place. Put it on the left, and have menu, content, pictures etc surrounding it.

5) A great site example of roughly what you need is HERE
