Congrats on your membership with the Post. Keep at it and it will grow.
Here's some IMO's for the Carpunky site:
You have a large empty space on the top (maybe for a banner?) that needs something. I think the logo would be nicer with a script type font since this is for writers. I like the colors. There is also a space on the forums that seems out of place.
Functionality is good with no broken links or bugs. Load time is good.
The motto says it's "The writers guide", so I was expecting more about writing. Seems like there is lots of content that does not deal with writing. I suggest on cutting back on that and put more writing content. Some suggest that news and games makes a site sticky and I agree that it's true for some sites. IMO, the games might not be additive to your site.
Since this is for writers, I would also expect all the grammar and spelling to be correct, which it seems it does. But I have a question about the motto/slogan. Should it be "The writer's guide"?
At the time, I rate the site as a very high
6, with lot's of potential. Keep it up!
