I dont like the font, or font size. It makes everything way to crowded.

I really dont like the links on the left side of the page.. they should not e bold like that..

There should be some kind of order to the menu.. my eyes just jumble up when I look at that. Use a border line at the bottom so that its easie to read.. also consider removing the underline of the link and having the underline as a rollover effect (you move the mouse over and the underline appears, you move your mouse away it goes away)

You can do this with CSS easily.. ill show you when i get a few min
thanks, that would be great.

The menu is a bit packed and the fonts are difficult to read for me. apart from that it seems ok

I love the content, but like so many people ave said before me, the design could do with touching up a bit.

Just some things that I would suggest (you don't have to use them).

1) For me the content is great, but I struggle to read it, because you have so much of the featured article and then you suddenly stop and provide a 'full feature' link to see more. If you are going to do that, then cut your paragraphs down to a maximum of 8 lines, including the title.

2) Your menu buttons (the big grey ones) don't go with your site content and design. Try changing their appearence.

3) Reduce your images to thumbnail size and add a link to them to open it up at full size. This way you can lessen the bandwidth and your site becomes less rigid.

for item 3, you mean resize them on the main page, or actually resize them within the articles themselves?

thanks for the suggestions.

ok, i've gone ahead and made some modification from the suggestions i got here, mostly to the main index page. anyone want to take a look?

also, i went ahead and removed the underlines from the links on the navigation menu. in IE, it worked fine, but netscape still shows the underlined links. is there something else i need to do, or will netscape always show links underlined?

I meant the actual text. Change the length of your texts.

Twitch, i'm actually not sure what you mean by "the length of my texts." you mean the articles themselves should be shorter?

Content and layout wise I think it is great, but the text used throughout is not the right one. Use maybe an arial or veranda or something easy to look at.

Looks good, the blue side bar on the left needs some kind of paturn to it to make it look a little less bland and you need to move the google add from the very right to underneath the picture of the week because as is the page is too wide and won't fit into an 800-600 window. Possibly not even 1024.

I like how the news is layed out the icons couuld do with a bit of antialiasing.

The text on the featured column needs some spacing/seperation as it looks too clumped together and i can feel my eyes getting ready to go into jitter mode =)

The text in your logo needs some antialiasing and the background pics to it need some sharpening.

Good consept, solid flow and very easy to read. Just needs some beautification!

thanks for the tips. coupel of questions. i've heard from several people i need to anti-alias the images. how do i do that?

about the google ads on the main page, i have 1024 resolution, and i can see the ads without scrolling, and still with some white space left over.

as far as spacing out the articles, i tried putting in an extra line between each article, but it just was way too space out. what else could i do?
