Hi Kaliber,

I think apaoli meant that it was a bit too narrow.

Anyway, I think you've got a great forum, but you really need to work on the opening page a bit. First of all, the image requires me to scroll to the right to see the entire image (I am on 1024 x 768). I also really don't understand the point of the top section (with the loading bar from 0% to 100%). It really doesn't look very stylish. Lastly, why did you include a button to MBSHost 3 times, next to each other? I think one is enough.

On the forum, you have very little to improve. You customized the vB so well that I didn't even realize it was a vB! The logo looks great, and the colors are both unique and stylish. The images you have used also match the color scheme well. I have no complaints, well done.

I do agree with apaoli to a certain extent. You might want to consider widening the forum a bit. I don't see any real major problem with the narrowness, except for the fact that it forces the "Add Buddy" button into the next line, under each post. I would either remove that button altogether or widen the forum. To tell you the truth, I would choose the former.

Overall: 9

Nice image there..
A *little* sluggish to load up however.

I think once past the splash page, this is a very nice website. I really like the design and nav is way cool

Thank you for the very in depth review conker. The loading bar preloads all the images for the forum, because as you may have boticed is is very graphics heavy.

About the buttons.. we are getting a few more affilates (looking) and they are just tempory.

Hi Kaliber,

Forums are usually hard to review, but here's some more IMO's.

The appearance is good. I like the splash page. The loading bar is okay. I like the top logo for the site. I suggest that you make the name slightly larger along with the motto. Even though it might cover the graphic more, it still needs to stand out.

IMO, the top is a little crowded with members, private messenges, etc. If they were smaller, then the forum would be more accessible.

The forum looks good, and I like the male/female symbol used with the member list.

The load time was good, even with the splash page. I didn't find any broken links with the navigation that I could access. No bugs found. However, the linkage and privacy/TOS links in the bottom navigation go back to the index page.

The appearance went well with the site.

The technical part is hard to review for a forum. With other type sites it's easy to say what to do with grammar and spelling. My only suggestion here is to start all sentences in the forum descriptions with caps.

I rate your site as an 8. I hope the suggestions help.

Dave

Hi Kaliber,

Welcome to Webmaster-Talk!

Wow, your entry page is really impressive. It really makes me want to click and see what's next!

Ok, so now I've clicked through. Looks great, but here here are some IMOs...

- After clicking on the splash page, the colors and splash logo were no where to be found. I would consider somehow incorporating your splash logo into you forum header.

-In regards to forum header how it is now...
Looks good, however I would increase the text/image size of Devay and the text below and also possibly make it a shade or two different to make it stand out more.

Overall, the site is nice and clean, kind of unique, and loaded super fast on my cable modem.

I give it an 8
