I had a quick look, its certainly very bright. Maybe using a background colour (green maybe) would alleviate the need for quite so much use of the really bright colours. That said this use of colour makes the theme of site really obvious which is always a good thing.
The only other point I would make, with a start-up forum, such as yours, I always find that the greater the number of empty forums, the less attractive it is to visitors, starting off with a few forums, then building up as demand increases may be a better option to start with.

Thanks for your suggestions Stuart and Taylor.
Thats a good idea cutting down the forums. It was one of the things I was a bit stuck on how to get people in there participating.
Was going to go the PPC route but is costly.
The colors are the Ethiopean flag and to the reggae community this is the recognised color scheme that is pretty much essential.
Maybe I could dull down the colors. I'll play around a bit.
Also Stuart, in you sig link there is one to many http:// and a semi colon. It goes to this location http://http/;//www.36-degrees.co.uk
Thanks again.

Ah I understand the colors then. If they serve a purpose then its fine to leave them. I think some real nice graphics could help you out though, maybe it would add something to your forum?
based on the fact that you need to use those colors because they are significant:

Right colours for the theme in hand, IMHO the header graphic looks alittle rushed and not that good, not much else to say other than good luck.

Their right it is very bright I agree with Stuart maybe a background color would help. or maybe you could tone down the color and make them a bit darker without being unfaithful to the flag, at least maybe in the main functional part of the forum.

Made some changes to the color and made a fixed width. Not sure if colors are too dark now?
Happy New Year.

Good site overall 6/10 (because it is a forum & all of the great features haven't been exploited).

I mentioned PPC, I would not suggest that for a forum unless it is already established. I would say look into SEO, get that right and you'll be appearing at the top of all listings because its such a niche market.

Hes most likely right, get some good SEO work down and you should notice a diff in the traffic to your website; you also should be able to come up on top for your keywords

Like your site, it keeps looking better and better.
I think I saw one of the original versions and the site is definitely looking better and better each time I see it. I would agree with the posting above that you need either a background image or color, maybe a neutral color like #AAAAAA or #CCCCCC (grey) to draw viewers attention to the bb and not lose them in the whiteness.
Just a suggestion to ponder...
Cheers and Good Luck

really... yellow. thats not a bad thing; i just dont like yellow personally. one thing i saw was that the links that were yellow were difficult to see on the white background.
take away sum sub-forums until you get more active members and you shud be fine

Thanks for all the great impute.
Mik, I tried the that color but seems very bright. Was this the color you meant ?
Also What other features would you suggest for the forum.
Ras Faze1, good idea I & I was trying to figure out what to do with the white space. Respect.
ZeebleHosting, good point about PPC.
I already istalled the SEO mod http://www.able2know.com/forums/abou...hlight=seo+mod and now that you say that will be brushing up some more on SEO techniques.
TaylorAtCTS, thats a very positive thing to hear, thanks.
Kaiman, Thanks for your compliments and I'll test out those and some others like your saying.
nasaboy007. Your right I find it hard to see as well I'll fix it up.
Andwuu, Thanks also for you compliment.
