Take a look and let me know.

The goal was to present a clean simple site with a lot of information organized in a way that makes it accessible and understandable. I still have some work to do on the side bar on the main page as I feel th weather links and river gauges could be simplified a little bit. The meat of the website can be found under the "rivers" link where the actually guide is located.

The large image on top is technically flawed. It has a strong red cast (in an image that should be about blue or white water), the white of the water is not bright enough.

I'm also bothered by the strong, white lines cutting up the page, especially those who go over the text into the black background.

This is about water and rafting. Use the qualities of water - and the colors.

I hope this helps.

Regarding the image: did you mess it up by having it in the wrong color space? For images on the web, you need sRGB, and, for details, a jpg image (not a gif).

Yes it is a actually a nice looking simple site, that has a wide range of information on the river waters, and the design is good.

Looks good to me, being from Alberta, Canada I can say this kind of site is very interesting as it is a great activity to be done in the area.

I think the header picture is quite good. All, the things are very perfect, and the site is really informative.

The site looks really good. The only sugestion I would make is change the color of this: "Paddle a great river recently? Report it on CanadaWhitewater.com" to something that contrasts better with the background I could barely see it.

Thanks for the feedback. Take a look at http:www.paddlingabc.com/index_exp.php to see where I am taking the website in the future. Building some more dynamic elements into it on the sidebar. I looked at toning down the red in the header not sure how to do it.
