Hey guys,

This is the layout that I am working on. Nothing on this website is clickable because it is just one .jpg inside of a table. This shows the basic layout of how the site will look when it is done.

http://www.hvacdirect.us

Please give me your opinions.

Brandon

My eye wandered a bit on the site. I wasnt sure what was the most important thing for me to see or look at. Perhaps finding a way to have a central area or highlighted area that draws a customers eye to the most important section. I mighy move contractor login off the main page. The aesthetics are decent. Not mind blowing but not too bad either. I would guess this is the look you are going for since your audience is not the high tech crowd but average homeowners.

I would perhaps move the find a contractor thing to the far left with the browse products part directly beside it. The have the featured contractor below the find a contractor box. and I would get rid of all of the become a contractor, login stuff to seperate pages. You want this designed for the customer first I would think.

This sounds kinda crazy... but we're actually targeting the contractors rather than the homeowner. We're trying to make the contractors sign up to be contractors for us and get their equipment from us.

However, in the case that a homeowner comes to the site trying to find a contractor, we have that option on the homepage too.

Layout's okay. Doesn't say construction or contractor to me. I'd play that off a lot more then what you're doing now. Currently it just looks like a run of the mill blog type layout...No hint, visually, on what the site's about.

I'm going to mess around with the colors a bit. Maybe instead of blue, try a yellow template. Yellow is a common color when dealing with contractors, for the simple fact that it yells "hard hat" lol

I will also try putting some more contractor type images on the site. Possibly under the become a contractor and find a contractor areas.

I like everything except the green oval button that says, "Yes I want to learn more". I think that's to green and makes the website look unprofessional. Perhaps make it a silver or white and that will help accent the website. Best of luck!

I like it good design, but I really think that the large green button stands out in a sort of ugly way... try using orange instead? Maybe gold? It seems to go better with blue than a light green.

Nice work overall though =D
