Now , I'm no web designer and this site is very basic but go easy on me ! I'm only a poor student ( !! ) and my talents lay in Maths and , obviously , horses !

But your thoughts on layout , colour scheme etc. would be much appreciated.

It is still in production and , at the moment only the following links are active :

index > Contact ( and back again )
index > UK Racing > PastThePost > Breeding / In The Public Eye / On The Level

Many thanks ,

LGR.

Looks very good for someone who isn't a web designer. Nice color scheme, it's easy on the eyes.

Not a designer, you say? Your site puts many designers' sites to shame. It looks professional, clean, and easy to navigate. I think you have some hidden talent in web design, my friend.

I totally agree what he said. You have some hidden talent and your design intergration is excellant? Either you were a web designer in a previous life or you've got it in your blood! If the menu at the top and bottom are the same you might as well keep the text the same size and stick a copyright sign at the bottom as well.

Excellant job though definetly 8/10

Nice design! It looks very professional (In Firefox That is )

It gives a good first impression to your visitors! If I was a guest, I would have thought that the site had been made by a full time web author.

Not a bad looking site, layout good, nice colour blending, I like how you`ve added background images in, not many sites bother, there is a scrolling issue going on, bottom bar kicks in, well done and good luck.

Do you have any other sites that you've worked on that you can post links to? I'd like to see what else you're capable of... :-)

Hi, great site, I agree totally with the guys above ... only suggestions are to learn css this will tidy your source code and make it easier to understand and change. Also get rid of the meta tags that say it is made by frontpage.

Good luck

Many thanks for your comments - and very encouraging ones !

I'd love to learn all about CSS etc. but because of university constraints ( that's where my Maths comes in !! ) , work and going racing , I get little time to start educating myself about other things.

Fair enough I dont really have that problem since I do this stuff for my degree (Computer Science)...

But what I do suggest is next time you start working on your site look up this tutorial and use it whilst building it, css is very easy pick up and it will save you a lot of time in the future, trust me I was told the same thing!!!

Good luck

Hi there, I think the site's lovely, its informative, the colours work, the images are sharp and lcear and contrast well with the paler background colours. THe info itself is well written, laid out (perhaps just too much on one page?..) not sure!...but overall, yip, works for me!...(and Ive got horses too!)

cheers, scotia

Nice site, good colour selection and good use of images.
There are a couple of problems with the site though.
Firstly, change the width of the site to 100% rather than a fixed size as people with screens smaller than 1024px wide will have to scroll across.
Second, you have a few links which don't work on your menu bar.
Good luck
Russ
