Hi and Welcome to the forums!

About You site:

The main index page looks much better than the doorway/entry page. I will review the index...

I like the colors. Load time fine.

"Classified Ads
Please Browse the ads or Create your own.
Click on categories to enter them.
Searches done from this level will provide results from all categories."

Needs to be left aligned and as well maybe put a line break after each paragraph.

Think about adding a little more text or content. The site has a lot of ads. Ads are fine, but if you don't get any traffic, your never going to make any money from them. So I suggestion doing a little search engine optimization.

The "Find a Joke:" table is a little wider than the two above it and one below. I would try and make them all the same width.

The Yellow that flashes on the "new" pics does not show up well on that light blue. Consider changing that to another color that shows up better.

I like the pictures for the individual categories!

Actually I just discover that the homepage is different from the page your entry page takes you to...

Well, overall I think it looks nice! It is a very great job for a first site!

Hi Jeff,

So this is the first time and we get to review your site, hmmm.... I'm just messing with your mind. I hope you get some worthwhile IMO's here that help with your site. Speaking of opinions, here's some of mine.

I like splash pages or entry pages that are different than the rest of the site. One thing to consider on that page might be to get rid of the ad banner(s). An entry page needs to encourage the surfer to do just that, Enter! I suggest getting rid of the banners, maybe keep your site's banner, make your opening statements a larger and/or bolder font. The intro doesn't have to be longer, but maybe more "dynamic".

The overall appearance, colors, fonts, etc., are good. All the tables/boxes need to be uniform with spacing.

Load time was long on the splash/entry page due to the second banner. The load time was long for the first page after the entry page. Probably due to all pages loading up (php & css), but it was not detrimental since 95%+ of the information was on the page while it still showed loading. Maybe, then again, I tried several pages and the ones with the longer load times had banner/button advertisements hosted from another location. The Disney button took the longest of all.

Just a question: What is the reason that the entry page goes to http://www.altonpost.net/bazar/classified.php and not to the home page? I'm not saying that is bad either.

The form looks good for the function.

I didn't see any technical problems.

I rate it a high 6, but it would be a definite 7 with the tables/boxes being uniform with spacing.

I hope that helps. And I wish you well for your endeavor with your site.

I just took a look at the site. Looks good overall. I did notice that when the main site opens I get a "save to favorites" box. And you also have a link for "save to favorites" at the bottom of the page. Most internet users nowadays know how to save sites to their favorites.
I would recommend that you remove the popup box "save to favorites" feature; where you have the like at the bottom of the page., but that is just my opinion. Keep up the good work.

Hiya,

Ok...I have submitted my site before for reveiw but iv'e added some stuff and taken some away...I might have lost my direction...It was origanily going to be a community site for free classifieds but I tryed to open it up a little more to the general audience...Im not sure if im even offering anything anymore worth having ? I think that im getting crazy with using those commision junction banner ads after making some money off of them .

Whatever direction that you are taking, you have made some good improvements to the site.

I think it's easy to get off course sometimes in the big cyber world. Remember that you can get back on course by having more than one site, or maybe pages within the site dedicated to specific functions, events, areas, etc.
