Website needs improving

Hi,

My website has been going for about 2 and a half years now, and apart from changing the header banner, footer and some of the images on the homepage, the only things that have changed are the products we sell.
Would appreciate some feedback regarding improving the site in general.
Any suggestions welcome. My website is called "Lanna Charm" and can be found here : http://lannacharm.myshopify.com/

basically just adding more colors, such as the background and left navigation.

I like the top navigation myself, but agree that more color would be good. Maybe you could use subtle colors to seperate the main sections on your home page instead of having everything on a white background?

adding up a native theme on beige and brown color would be nice. Too much color would ruin the whole whole design because your products are already colorful.

Nice navigation part. I think dark background would be better.

i think your website looks cool but it will be better if you add a darker backround...

Thanks again for the feedback. Regarding the image sizes, I am planning on reducing the size of the images to thumbnails, and linking each one to the page where they are displayed. Hopefully this will speed up load time.

i dont know if its just me but I think you should make it a wider. other than that the site look great.

It looks like the page was designed to fit an 800 x 600 resolution browser.
Nothing wrong with that but I think its looking more and more old school these days as most people have at least 1024 x 768 screens.

The header branding needs to be redone.
I can see white artifacts around the yellow flower which looks unprofessional.

Also your tagline is too long "Beautiful handcrafted(i cant read this word because of the low contrast with background) fashion accessories and home decor from northern (this should be capitalized by the way!) Thailand"
Thats too much of a mouthful.

Your tag line should be no more that 5 words.
"Handcrafted Thai Fashion and Decor"
would be better.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback and advice. I made a new header banner, not sure whether I like it or not, can always create another. Also, I tidied up the thumbnails at bottom of the page, made 3 rows of 6, does look neater. And removed most of the images from homepage, just have 1 now (to display latest releases)
