I kept reading it as sarniedaily! Anyway the basics are all there, a bit more colour would be nice as pixelputty says.
It stretches out fine on my 1152 by 864 display.

One of the things I am sensitive to ( because of my old age ) is font size and color. I think that if you were to shift the color of the text from grey on white to a color combination with just a bit more contrast it might be easier on us old guys eyes, and it might just provide the extra color feel others have mentioned. I would like to see in in a blue color personally.
Overall I like the design it is simple, pleasing to the eye, and it loaded fast. Good Job keep up the good work, and good luck with the site!

Nice simple site. How come the Home and Local Event buttons are different colors from the other buttons? I think that they Home and Local Events are much easier to read against that gray background rather then the white, maybe the white would be easier to read if the font was either a little bigger or bold?
I have my screen res set at 2560 x 1024 and your page stretched to fit the entire screen.

CooperChic_1- The Home and Local Events are different colours, because I have not set the other buttons as links, yet

Hey a Canadian site! Cool, eh? LOL Couldn't resist.
Very simple, very nice. Fits great on my 1024x768 setting.
To kick it up a notch, why not try a red watermarked heading with maple leaf shapes? And add a couple of graphics here and there, like a nice Canadian fall pic or winter pic? I'm in Quebec and I know Canada has some very awesome fall and winter areas just perfect for photographing.
But I understand this is a work in progress so I just listed some ideas.

I like the simplicity of it and that it is done search engine friendly in good HTML. However, If you ever run into a problem updating it, I will recommend using some open source programs like PHPNUKE, XOOPS, etc. They have some cool modules for calendar, pictures and RSS if you would like to get some feeds there.
I am running 1280X1024 and it looks very good.

I think it is best for 1024/768. I suggest you to add more light colours. Remove the gray and change it with light blue or dark red. Site is good but you need to try with different colout schemes

D.

Good site for starting, definately. Seems a little open and empty though. Maybe with the use of some more tables, graphics, or something that gives the site some more depth would add a lot to the overall style of this website. Good work on it.

Nice. Looks like it has everything it could need. Simplicity goes a LONG way. Nice. I can't think of anything you might need to add. It has all it needs.
