Hey all,

I'm the site admin for a new communnity based on the PHP-Nuke Platinum framework, but as yet things are going slow, I would be very gratefull if someone can come along and give an honest review.

We are there for Experrinced and non-experinced users for technical support, webmasters, graphics, and server support.

The load time seemed long (on cable). It may be due to all the graphics.

Hi your page seems too busy, it is too long and the boxes make it look too boxy. There is also a javascript error.

I like your flash header and u certainly have enough content, I would just suggest trying to manage it all a bit better.

I have to agree the load time is very long I got discouraged waiting for everything to load. After everything was done loading, the page is too long, however after all of that being said I really like your header and your color scheme.

I`m on a fast connection and even for me it was dragging, but it`s a very nice skin, one of the best I have seen, I like your site, but then I`m used to sites like this, there are many people out there that could see your site as slow loading and becoming lost on whats what, good luck.

Thanks for the reviews all of ya, I'm aware of the slow loading times, this is due to the fact that when DDNG started I was bet that I couldn't publicly host a website for a year of my own server. Its ran through 3 ADSL Modems, and its a 500Mhz ADM K6-2-500, So I must appoligize about the speed but it is really All I can manage. What sort of content would you all sugest that I have there? Thanks again.

As others have said, the load time is a big problem. Looking down at my status bar I see "74 items remaining"... that's a lot, even for cable connections.

Even given all the stuff you have on there, it shouldn't take that long to load. I looked at the source code, and found that to be a problem as well--the HTML is 86kb in size. That's a pretty hefty amount... I can't imagine this site in dial-up!

I would recommend cutting back on the graphics, as well as writing more CSS classes to help trim down the source code.

There is no real HTML there, its all based upon PHP classes.... As I said its running of my own server, so please excuse the speed as I'm aware and working on that, but for the site its self hows that looks and contence wise?

Pretty good, even for a stock PHP site program with a new skin apllied.

Also, a new host would be good.

How do you mean "stock", its "PHP-Nuke Platinum" with one hell of allot of modifications to it. Please xplain? The same could be said for most sites that they are a stock Flash site, or stock Java site, please xplain?

Ok DDNG has now been moved into a high speed server. Please re-review it based upon its speed increase.

I really like the design but there seems to be to much text. Try and limit the amount of text on the front page
