Hi Everyone!

To tell you alittle about me...

My name is Jenny and my husband and I have created an on-line community for scrapbookers and rubberstampers called

Our Creative Companion

My website debuted on September 1st, and I have over 1200 registered members and am currently #53 on the Scrapbooking Top50 Site (I started out #300 and something!!)

My community is the ONLY on-line community that offers on-line classes of all the newest techniques in our private chat room! I am attempting to create a totally self sufficient community.

BUT...I am having a few complaints about my "colors" each day, and I am becoming concerned. Do I not worry about the "small percentage" as they are not active members?

Purple is our theme as you will see.

Please note that each month the background color on the homepage itself will be different depending on what our "theme" is that month..this month our theme is Breast Cancer.

I would love to receive some "constructive advice/criticism" from professionals!

My address is www.ourcreativecompanion.com

I look forward to hearing suggestions etc. Thank you!

GlitterHugs,
Jenny

Umm...please tell me that you all don't think my site stinks and that the colors totally stink!

I think I'm getting a complex since no one has given their "constructive criticism"...Okay I can take it...just don't be too brutally honest! lol

GlitterHugs,
Jenny

well now after taking a better look at the site. here are my IMO.

colors - not bad, looks kinda cute with those shades of pink.
although your site may look too pink at times. adding some white would be good. a color i always seem to like and would fit a scrapbook site well is the wheat/grain color.

logo - its mediocre, its not bad, yet its not the greatest thing ive seen. but its nice.

navigation - again...its not bad, but its not the best ive seen. its OK though. maybe if you add some nice mouseovers to the navigation bar. or if you add some little arrows next to the link as a mouseover, that would help.
overall it has easy navigation though, very user friendly

layout - very professional and very nice. here i really cant complain. it looks nice. very very organized and clean layout.

content - you seem to have good content on your site. it looks pretty much done. say, why dont you apply for the webmaster-talk award since your site is practically done?

font - i really like the font, it wouldnt suit a business like microsoft well. but for a scrapbook the font is outstanding.

Overall: 7
i say 7 because there is still something about the site that makes me not give it a 10. i dont know that something, all i can tell you is that your site looks very nice but is still missing something.

hope that helps
-Josh

ohh one thing i forgot to add. your menu seems to change as you go onto other pages.

and your site looks fantastic in 1024x768px (its what i use now)
i dont know about 800x600, there might be lots of sidescrolling to do there.

THANK YOU Josh!

The "pink" on the homepage is actually only there for the month of October as our theme is Breast Cancer.

We feel the same way about our site is "missing something" and the logo is not a permanent feature..that was to just get us by until we can create something. A title of "Our Creative Companion" is not an easy name to design a logo around! lol

Thank you for the mouseover idea, Keith is going to look into it.

I would LOVE to hear anyone elses opinions!!

I'm sending you a BIG HUG Josh

GlitterHugs,
Jenny
