Hello everyone,

I've built my first website:

Online-web-design-course.com

Could you please have a look at it and suggest anything that happens to cross your mind?
Thanks!

Hi there,

I think there is a huge amount of information here, which is brilliant, but I might be tempted to add just a little more colour, or images. It became just a little to "texty" for me. Perhaps more examples of what your completing in your courses. Good on you for doing a tutorial site tho!...Overall, loads fast, is clean, easy enough to navigate, (although once you get down into it I did find myself wondering where I was!)...

Godd job, cheers Scotia

This is a nice site, as scotia said, lot`s of info, IMHO a header and logo would look nice and I don`t like the beveled SITESELL. Well done and good luck.

Great information. Very useful content.

I agree with the above posts that a good header and logo will help.

Also, I dont like the multi-colored links at the bottom, but that may be personal opinion.

Overall, great site - lots of content.

Lots of info, which is why your visitors will be there right? Also nice and rich for the engines

I agree with the others here, you definately need a logo though. Other than that it's a very good site.

Oooh, thanks for the great tips and reviews everyone! I did have a flash logo actually, but I removed it 'coz it didn't blend well with the overall feel. I'm planning to redesign the site once I get my content up on its feet - I have to have many many more lessons to make it a very useful resource. So, for now I'm building traffic and content

By the way, I've found lots and lots of quality, free-to-publish articles on web design, promotion & hosting; will be publishing them on a daily basis - with full credit to the original authors. However, I need to prevent search engine spiders from indexing these outsourced articles so that Online-web-design-course.com does not get penalized due to duplicate content. The reason I'm telling all this is, if any one of you decides to publish one of these articles, put them in a separate directory on your website and prevent access to that directory by setting up an appropriate robot.txt file

I'm so long winded...

Ken from SiteSell must be proud to have affiliates like you... You've actually put up some effort to make this site look useful... though I think it is not really useful. But it is just my opinion. Obviosly, the goal is to make them click on AdSense or to sign up with SiteSell. And its ok... but we all must remember that we are using it too, ourselves... I meant the World Wide Web.

That's the spirit!

OK, surely my primary goal is to make money! What else would it be? Aren't we all on the same boat?

Anyway, I try to build the best and the most useful website I can. I am doing my "best" actually - sacrificing a large portion of my invaluable time to make this website a good resource for my visitors. You probably guessed as much

Do you have any suggestions so that I'll make it more useful? This will enable you to turn your critisizm into a constructive one

PS: I'm building a forum right now. It's still in beta - if anyone is interested, you can have a look here:
