You site does look very good but it wreaks of ebay!!!! I can understand why, their style works well obviously and it is simple. But I wuld suggest making it a little more individual give them other reasons to go their, why would they use it if they can use ebay.

[edit] wreaks as in style not what you offer, an alternative to ebay is always good[/edit]

I am not trying to be over critical you have done a very good job and it isny identical to ebay just the colour scheme etc is a little too familiar.

But i still like it, well done

Well thanks very much eJumblesale.com but we are offering sellers no posting fees and no buy it now fees and also no reserve fees. I believe that sellers can save thousands of dollars a year by using http://www.JCBay.com We know that we can not be eBay but hey, JCBay.com is your free eBay alternative. Sellers can use JCBay.com instead of eBay because when they look at our fees structure, they will realize that JCBay.com is here to save them money. JCBay was launched last week and we are trying to reach the world now.

Site is nice... one thing I would change, though, is making the logo a little bit smaller so the site fits within the window on an 800 x 600 resolution.

nice site, but as ejumblesale said, it wreaks of ebay- if I could make a suggestion maybe go with a slightly darker style, ebay is known by its bright, flashy colors, maybe a different style would bring a new group of visitors?

Anyway, nice site

I see you got one of the -bay domain names. It's funny how anything that rhymes with eBay is taken, like hebay, shebay, freebay, treebay, cbay, dbay, gbay, skibay, etc.

To me, the site looks a little "out-of-the-box." There are a lot of ebay wannabes out there, but I think the first one to really create a unique look will be successful. Branding is so incredibly important. Hire a talented designer, it will be worth it. You should make the site look cool like some of the forum and cms skins out there.

And the text "Find what?" by the search box is in times font, when the rest of the site is (correctly) in a sans-serif font. I'd change that to be consistent.

Logo is too big. Needs to be limited in colors and a gif. I think the color scheme is too clashy like ebay's. There are more suttle schemes you could use without getting to close to theirs.

The layout is nice though!

Agree with the above about too E-bayisque.

One more thing... not sure about the folder structure. I click on a link (ie. "Books") then it says "Sorry, no auctions were found" and I have to choose among several other subfolders. Then I click on "Fiction and Literature" and get the same message until I click on one more folder, so I am three folders deep until I get to find something to bid on. Can you display all relevant items at the first folder, and allow the user to choose to refine the search?

Yeah, I noticed that too, about the file structure. I had to get five clicks deep before I could see any auctions.
