Suggestions + Corrections much appreciated

I've got a new layout up, viewable at this address.

i'm looking for useful information to help me fine-tune the layout of the site before i begin putting content in.

ideas on repositioning, slight colour adjustments etc are very much appreciated, as well as possibly some ideas for the name of the site? a general review of the layout as a whole, and tips on how to improve it would be great

thankx guys

The nav menu is kinda dumb, it doesnt work very "user friendly." Otherwise I suggest using a table and cellspacing to put a border around the whole thing and change the red copyright on the bottom.

I really dislike the font used in the menu and the bullets on the mouseover. It really just disattracts me from the site.

as for colors, you got yourself some weird colors there, personally dont like that shade of blue and with the white lines on it, even worse.

the logo, I think you can do better than just a text logo, if you are going to do a text logo, make it bigger and in a nicer looking font.

The background is good, no problems there. I might need to see the site with content in it to be able to judge it better.

the only goods about the site is:

table positioning
organization
mouseover light blue color
logo red color

id say you change the colors and at least change the menu font, and add some content then ask for a re-review. Other than that, the site looks OK.

ps. i see you chose retod.com

That could depend on what country you're in and what English you speak (or should that be spell?).

I have to agree that the colors seem to be a little too much for a search engine optimization site. The colors might be better if there wasn't such a large contrast between the blues and the white background. (Maybe make the background the same color as the light colored waves in the blue?)

It's probably taken, but SOS would have been a good domain for your site.

The navigation font doesn't seem to go well with the rest, but the menu works fine for me. The nav is center justified, which seems to make it appear off because of the overlap on the tables below.

Overall, it's still probably a workable design.

That blue must go. But the layout of the content is fine.

The site would be alright but the one thign that really really screws it up is that the menus that popup when you rollover your navigation links go away before you can even touch them... seriously i tried for a while just to touch the extra pop menus but failed... make the time longer that they stay up there and your design will be greatly improved.

I don't have the problem that Mo mentioned with the menu. Maybe it's fixed?

Suggestions:
  • Change the font for the menu.
  • Add some cell padding.
  • Slightly decrease the width.
