Comments needed for Font website

Hi,

I have created a site where users can download fonts to their computer. Almost 10,000 fonts to choose from for FREE. Has previews of the fonts. Need comments on what is good and bad. Thanks.

Content wise you look to be in pretty good shape, although your font preview pages would be better if all characters were in one interlaced image file rather than 30+ http requests. The custom preview feature is very cool but it is tripped up by certain punctuation. Also, fonts with only one file to download should not say "download all." The top fonts page should have small previews of the fonts.

No doubt you've seen many font collection sites and there are more than a few. I don't know how you could go about it, but if you could come up with some superior means of browsing through your collection, your site might eventually enjoy significant popularity.

The top blue band of the pages are perplexing as they contribute nothing as far as the content goes. Both the logo and tabs could fit up there. I think the huge at block at the top is too intrusive but at the very least you could put it on the right side as we read left to right.

Wow looks good to me your content is really good althought a small suggestion would be to add some more content about the site to your home page. But as for ease of nav it was great, all the font is categorized very well and the layout is simple to use. I would maybe try to spruce it up a bit just to make it more capturing but overall I think you did a great job

Nice fonts. The site is good, the images took awhile to load, I wonder if it was the server or they need to be downsized?

I like the site a lot; however I don't like the emptiness at the top where your introduction is. I would just remove the intro (boring) and bring the table with the fonts right to the top and let people see that right away for download. Bring the fonts right below the navigation. It will look better.

Suggestion, put your title in the top header space (blue) and I like that color a lot. Next, I would take your first paragraph and insert in the blue area too. Bring up the fonts information to be above the paper fold. Remember, a news paper folds and the headline is always the top fold. Think of your web site as the newspaper and the most important above that fold.

2. Home page contents, describe it.
3. "http://www.fontworkshop.com/categories.html" page have an error you have << previous results 1 to 9 of 9 next >> link not working.
