Sorry for the crazy title, but I am awful at coding and somehow just "messed" my website up when playing around with ad placement.

Anyone know any possibilities of what I could have done? The sidebar messed up, but only on the index page.

Any tips are greatly appreciately.

If your not a coder, what do you think about the other aspects of the site?

Hello,

When I first went to your website the amount of Google ads you have on your website caught my eye. After searching your website I've noticed you have 7 different Google ads on each page. That's an over kill! I think your websites is put together great. You have wonderful content and a balance of white space. I think the amount of Google ads you have on your website is extremely ridiculous! Best of luck to you.

I opened your site in IE 'cause it looked perfectly decent in Firefox + adblock... not so much with internet explorer. Take down every ad and readd them one by one, that should reveal the mess.

Thanks for the posts, I fixed the layout problem but in doing so caused somethign else to happen, my coder is going to take a peak at it soon.

As far as the massive amount of ads on the site -- I usually don't put so many, but I have a large % of returning traffic, and have polled my visitors to see if ads would really annoy them. By adding ads all over the site, I've increased my CTR by like 10x (it was really bad before), as well as increasing $$ for today.

I'll keep testing though, this is only the second day of monetization.

If you are seeing that your ads arent effecting traffic, or visitor peace of mind, then more power too you, but they deffinately turned me off as soon as I landed on your page.

Just a thought.

First off I think your site is a little bland - no eye candy.

I was pleased to see that you have used a relative size for your text as your site opens with small text.

Personally I didn't find the ads a distraction, but I might suggest that they are placed on the right side of your page rather than the left as this is the first thing the eye goes to. Of course this might be what you intend.

I ran your home page through the W3C validator and there were 126 errors and 5 warnings. I didn't go through all the errors but it looked as though the majority could be easily fixed by closing tags properly and not using deprecated markup in a STRICT DOC TYPE.

Overall I thought this was a good effort, good luck.

I too thoughgt it was rather bland. Honestly, if I had stumbed upon it I wouldn;t have given it 2 seconds glance befor considering it just another advert site. Nothing about it seems...personal or particular...

I don't really know how to make it personal and particular?

It just has one purpose, I am kind of out of ideas apart from a few new features that I'm going to put in.

As far as W3C compliance... thats coming soon, as soon as my coder gets back to his computer and I figure out my cPanel password again.
