It loads kind of slowly, and I'm not a fan of the blue and orange scheme you got going on in the typography. (I just don't think space utilizes pastels...) However, it does look kinda cool and if it's valid, woohoo! To make it load faster: DONT USE JPGS FOR BACKGROUNDS. I dunno why people do it anyway, they always look fuzzy to me. .gifs render faster and use .pngs when you want clarity.
Yes, your about page is VERY dorky. I'm not even sure what it is you DO. The space theme is cool, but it's seriously not apparent that you're a web designer. I would say, write your copy to sell your service first, then spice it up with funny space lingo.
