My site, http://www.upstateshopping.com is just a couple weeks old. We will be adding many more functions soon, but what do you think so far?
Any ideas on marketing and content?

Design looks great.

URLs are horribly un-optimized for SEO. =(

Change "into human edited directory" to "into a human-edited directory" or "into our human-edited directory". The way you have it now sounds awkward.

Not sure about the viability of another directory site, as there are a million of them. What sets you apart from the stiff competition?

Thank you for the feedback. We are a directory for upstate New York only. Having free classifieds, forums and event calendar are different from other upstate directories. We will be adding more functions like news, downloadable coupons, visitors will be able to plan a shopping/road trip from our site with an awesome advanced search tool, and more. We are trademarking upstateshopping.com as The Upstate New York Shopping And Business Directory. We are looking to get thousands of businesses listed on the site. We're also looking to get thousands of classified ads and as many posts to our forums, those kinds of things. If you have any ideas for me, let me know.

Hey, how would you optimize the URL's? Different keywords on each page? We do pretty well in the rankings, but could always do better. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
