Hi,

I am currently redesigning my site and have just finished the navigation elements/header.

After getting mixed feedback in my last post about the navigation I though it might be better to get the navigation sorted before I carry on with the rest.

So if you could take a look and let me know if you think its hot or not so I can adjust if necessary.

Cheers.

The top row is done great. It's eye catching and is easy to navigate. However, that's set off by the bright and odd second level navigation. Just the fact that it's there confuses me already, and the color choice and size are taking away from the nice header. It's frankly too big and too bright. For a design service, it doesn't look professional. Also, make the hover something nicer. That bright blue really adds more contrast than is neccessary right there.

Plus, where's the 'My Services' link in the top row of navigation? If it's a main part of the site then it should be there. What if someone wanted to view your portfolio first? They'd have to navigate back home and then to another page. For a user, that's not very friendly.

I like it, it's simple. I have to see it in the context of the whole website though. It's hard to judge the navigation by itself.

The header is very good now all you have to do is get the rest of the site to match.

Basically the my services is split into 4 sections(the big nav) which will be on each page it it is at present so they will be able to click on on service from any page. I think I may need to put a home button down though just to make it a bit more obvious.

Any other thoughts keeps them coming.

The colors are a lot better, though my eye is still attracted to 'Get A Website' first on the page. Not sure if you're doing that on purpose, but I figured you should know xD

There's also this random dotted line at the bottom of the page xD Not sure what that's about. I think it could use a bit more physical structure to it, especially a definition between the services blurb and the recent project.

But it's looking good =)

Hi I have completed the first page apart from the footer. Any thoughts?

Peachy: Yes that was the idea that the active link. the dotted line is because the img anchor has took the anchor style. I cant get it off with out taking it off the text. The normal solution would be to give the img a, a class and have border none but it already has a class for the bubble effect.

Any one have a solution?

I'm really liking what you've done here. I'm not sure what your CSS issue is, but if you can screenshot it maybe? Everything looks really nice on my end.

You might want to add a footer for copyrighting and just plain design resolving. It just sort of...ends right now.

Edit: one more suggestion. Perhaps employ lightbox for your images? Or some kind of gallery or even link to the active website so you can see it in action.

the design is really good, and has a nice header image but no footer for links or copyright....but the content is fine and interesting!

The site looks great but I think the :active pseudo should be made the same as the :hover for the big nav.
