The design is nice and clean but it also comes off kind of business like to me, like it's better suited to an e-commerce site than a television show fan website.
Hmmm, maybe it's not design, more the mellow color scheme and the text logo at the top of each page instead of some sort of cool 24 banner. I'm not that familiar with the 24 series so not sure what to suggest, one idea though: The image on the homepage of the cast all lined up, find a large version of that photo and narrow it down to a long vertical image of their heads and shoulders and center it at the top of the page.
Only other thing I'd suggest is find a way to monetize the site beyond the google ads. For example, add affiliate links on the merchandise page for buying the seasons on dvd or 24 apparel.
