Overall, pretty good. The fairly simple design and concentration on content match the serious idea of the site. One or two small points:
1) You need a home link, other than the logo. I actually clicked on the forum thinking it was a home link, and a lot of people expect one.
2) There was an empty box above the main content on the home page - I don't know if this is another sponsor box, but it looks wrong (particularly empty). And then I turned off Adblock plus, and suddenly it all made sense! The large number of adverts is kind of distracting though, I mean, a pop-up, mouse over, scroll down ... it all gets a bit much.
3) The Advertise, Contact and Search links should be higher up, possibly in their own category. If possible, give searchers a box on the home page straight off.
4) The site lacks an introduction as to what the site entails; a sentence or too along the lines of "Traderslog provides information for .... ". It would mean that a visitor knows all he or she can find on the site.
5) I'm sure that it's been pointed out many times to you, but I suspect that Traders Log (as two words) requires an apostrophe. It could, of course, be could be considered the log for, rather than of, traders, but then you really do get pedantic.
6) The top link says 'Contact Us' but the same item in the left-hand bar says 'Contact'.
7) No favicon! Every site needs a distinctive favicon.

The site's pretty good, clean, purposeful, and it suits the nature of the subject, except for the adverts, which overpower this. Have you tried reading a large body of text while everything's flashing at you? I'd say 9/10 without adverts, 7 1/2 with them.

Not bad. From the navigation down, the text becomes monotonous, and I do not want to read it. If you've ever played Warcraft: "Block of text crits you for over 9000".

Suggestions:
  • increase text spacing on the Articles area
  • change the color of the links to another color (such as red)
  • make the titles of the articles a little larger
  • reduce the text size of the disclaimer at the bottom of the page
Looks like a very good start. Logo is great.
