I previously had the site reviewed a while back and I came back with improvements.

i think the site appearance is quite simple, but the content is relevant and interesting, another thing is the font size is quite small and the font style is unfit, changing it will help i think!

Hey there,
Ok, fantastic layout, everything is easily accessible.

Don't know if there's a whole lot you can do about this, but the Arcade & Classic Games text is intruding on the Choose a Game dropdown menu.

Also, I think the logo could do with a redesign. If you try and redo it in something like Photoshop, or better Illustrator, and choose some darker outlines so it pops.

Otherwise, good job!

Thank you to all who commented.

johnlloyd - Do you recommend any particular font/size, and in what areas?

Magic Monkey - The Arcade & Classic Games issues happens to be one of the more strange occurances. I created the layout in Opera's HTML Editor which allowed the layout to be automatically checked. The issues with Arcade & Classic Games is that its Choose A Game menu is wider in Firefox and IE than in Opera. It is wider in IE by 8 px and in Fx by 12 px. So, overall, to solve the issue I would have to make all the catagory boxes wider.

I just created that logo recently, much of it done in MS Paint . I didn't use actually text, but, rectangles. I guess I could hit MS Paint again and deepen the corners.. (Photoshop requires a stack of bills or the will to steal)

I would recommend that you get your own domain if you want to get serious about building a game site (there is a lot of competition so you gotta look professional), though I'm not sure about your financial situation. Believe me the investment helps.

The logo didn't come off as being powerful. The quality of the logo is poor... and I'm not sure what bowling has to do with your name "GameMix".

The layout is good, but I've seen many of these type of layouts before and it just doesn't come off as being unique enough.

Simple and clean. I like the drop down game listing on each of the categories too.
