Now THIS is a well designed template store. A short introduction followed by a sampling of templates done up quite nicely. The "thumbnails" within the mini-ads are vivid enough to get me to look deeper. Overall layout for the shopping center, complete with self checkout, is refreshing. The entire time on the site I was lured to the long list of potential goodies (categories) down the entire left side. The consistency of the shopping cart helps to sub-divide the otherwise very busy page - actually the layout reminds me of a series of full color business-card-ads all laid out on my desk. It looks very well done so, I am encouraged to believe I would be well satisfied with your templates.

I think it's pretty nifty actually. Rounded corners seem to be the rage now, and your colors work well =) I only see two things that bugs me, and two things that could be improved.
Biggest things that bugs me: 1. The top pattern doesn't stretch all the way across the screen. It's something nice to do for people with larger screen res' than 1024 x 768. I run at 1440 x 900 (browser isn't even full screened) and it just looks odd for there to be a straight line where things end. It disrupts the curvy nature of the rest of the site. 2. The bottom box doesn't match the feel of the rest of the site with the sharp corners. If you're going to use them, be constant with your design and just make the corners round.
Two small improvements:
Firstly, I was surprised with the tab hover images. You might want to think about adding a small image that's already there so it's not totally surprising to see a tab pop up. Also, the tabbed image is a different color than the bar it connects to, but Safari displays colors differently. I'm sure it's the same in FF or IE, but just so you know, it's different in Safari xD The anti-aliasing on those images could also be a bit cleaner. I see a few white pixels that stand out against the black xD
Secondly, I think the bottom of the page needs a bit more containment. After the header images, it kind of degrades into a list and a table. Maybe add some color behind the category list or the template thumbnail table. It's just a but monotonous after a while.
Yeah...that was a lot longer than I thought it would be xD But I do think it's very well done. Simple is the way to go with most designs these days, and you did a great job with it! And I think your icons are awesome =) Little details like that make the site pop.

I really like the design of your site. It looks eye-catchy and professional. Its layout is clean and well-organized. And I like the colors you have used in this site. The colors make the site more lively. Great work!

I wonder if Cafe SaiGon has been here yet...
After posting here, I went back to find his review request and sent him here for a visual tour of what he might consider instead of the "forum" approach. In other words, I recommended this site as an example of the way things (in my opinion) ought to be done. Thank you, I was frustrated at not being able to make sense to him or provide potential solutions ; you made it easy. Hope you don't mind being held up as a role model.

But if you are selling templates in an online store on the site, how can it be registered as a .org?

thank you matt for your question.
first this post is for reviewing the website and not the domain name.
secondly i don't want to talk about this as i have this question on 30 forums with 20 replies and everyone is on my side.
please let's not go into this.

Sorry tanicos but, the domain name is a definite part of the website, part and parcel in fact. I can't count the number of times a comment has been made about the domain portion of a site under review. Savvy people generally look to the URL for clues as to the legitimacy and validity of the site. I too questioned the .org at first but, I had my own reason to dismiss the doubt at the time. Not anymore, your response suggests any number of things. Where are these forums where this is under discussion?
There is nothing like a little controversy to stir up responses, eh? Since I auto-subscribe, I'll be following this thread for juicy tid-bits.

Quick, dump the link. You're ruining my fun! Think of all the ping/pong posts we could get bouncing. Others would see the numbers and click in to see what was up. You get more reviews, while I withhold my opinion for when things slow down a bit. We might still make it work...
Seriously, the site works for me and anybody can be a .org if the name is available. You will; however, have to soothe diplomatically those who object. Part of DBA you know.
