Hi,

I think the navigation needs to be made clearer. In the top nav the second button is for "links" surely this is not the second most important area of your site.

Also it says that "You are not authorised to view this resource. You need to login." - Why? This will put off loads of potential users, so let them see some content before you force them to login.

My initial reaction is, there is too much red, and I would minimize the red text.
You have a seperate page for your search feature, yet you also have a search box at the bottom of your pages. I would move that box towards the top of the page, maybe even put it in the header, and lose the separate page. Also on a personal level, I would shrink the navigation bar a little, saving the space for content. The rest of the design and layout looks really good.

The first thing i thought was they is too much red, Either lose the red text or the red header/footer.

I say lose the red text, it is almost always bad news.
