http://www.webtalkzone.com has just been launched and you at webmaster-talk are the first to know about it! I plan on doing many things with this site in the future to make it a cool place to hangout.

Its not bad, not too generic, but the amount of topics might be too much. People wil lthink that theres more action going on than there really is if there arent so many empty subforums.

As with many new forums, this one suffers from a common problem. You don't have any activity! There are no posts, so how can I feel confident I'll actually get a response to the questions that I have?

Generate some activities, and I think you might have a winner. There are a few drawbacks, though, to the topic you've chosen. The niche seems to be well served by, among others, this forum, SitePoint, and DigitalPoint forums. I'd like to echo the sentiment of the above poster, also, that you may have too many categories. Cut them down to start with.

New forums have to start somewhere, I will be working very hard on increasing the activity of the forum. As for cutting down the boards, I am happy with how much boards the forums have. Its gives the users more to talk about. Me and a couple of my friends will be working on filling the forums.

The design of the forum looks good but I suggest to change its color to make it more attractive.

I would change the color but unfortunatly it is not a unique layout and I don't have the psd for it.

I have 2 problems. First the ad space looks a little squished. You may want to give it a little more room at the top of the page.
Second is the colors. If you cannot change the colors can you find another layout which would look alot better? They just arent good honeslty.

Create about 20 or 30 fake accounts and make it seem like there's a little activity. Then go from there. You could also create a free downloads forum which people could access after they post about 10 or 20 threads or posts.
