HI Everyone
First I want to say that I enjoyed doing the site reviews!

This version of our site: http://www.mediaheaven.co.uk has been live for two years now. We are currently planning a redesign. I know there are some huge navigation issues at the moment which we will clear up. I would appreciate some feedback on the rest of the site especially the cartoon pictures that we have. My concern is they make us look less professional and don't work well with the actual photos of our packaging deeper into the site.

Troip,

I agree with you about the cartoons, I don't think they do much for a "professional" business. Also you may want to reconsider how you do all your inline links in the text body. Having them just bold is very distracting to the eye when reading and it amost portrays a shouting statement. You would be better off going with a traditional linnk (Blue Underline) Also if your site size was more dynamic you can take advantage of the larger screens while still looking good on the 800 X 600's that are still out there.

Hope that helps

Mike

Your landing page contains about 50% graphic element, with the rest split between introductory text and site links. This could still work provided you employ a Site Map link to the right; this would lead to either a "standard" site map or your "internal" Home Page. The first line of your text detracts from the message tremendously. The [based in Leeds] portion completely takes me away from the first part of the sentence. Consider a semi-colon followed by [based in Leeds, (where?) our company... This allows you to keep the reference without causing me to lose your train of thought. As to the reviews: they are rather like a random web search to unknown places; new ideas, people, and places I might otherwise never have seen. Do come back for further review during the redesign. I'm looking forward to the metamorphosis.
