My first major issue with this site is compatibility, many users still browse in 800 x 600 (I know its hard to believe :P) and the site looks scewed at that point especially in firefox.
If you insist on using tables, I would simply drop your right hand column and add it to the left, no point in seperating them so much anyways.
The site doesnt scream professional at me, so if am honest its not a site I would specifically come back to, especially as your overloading it with google ads, am not saying its uneffective; in my experience it just makes users grumpy.
As far as color schemes go it is unique, so I would try and keep that, definately looks easy on the eyes, maybe a new logo might help too?
