Hey all. I just started this site to practice my seo skills and design skills. I was never too good with css, but this is something I'm somewhat proud of. What do you think of the design?

I'll be adding more content later so I don't really need feedback on that. Just the design, and possibly the ad placement.

Overall I think its pretty good so far. I love the side graphics. I've been playing super mario a lot lately from my wii. I imagine there will be alot of old games that get popular again because you can download them onto your wii now.

I like the way it looks, very mario'ish which i'm sure you're trying to achieve.

However as above, the blank spaces seem to bug me.

That is a big old add right in the middle there, I see no content just ads.

Site looks good from a CSS standpoint, along with adding more content which you're well on your way to doing, I think you should space out your navigation on the right a little bit, and by that I mean put a space in between the last link in a link list and a new navigation header. For example:
