Hi erdnis, I gladly give my opinions on a site. So, here they are.

Appearance is good. It has a techie gray look to it, but a clean and simple looking site. This is a big IMO, but I would add some more color for a game site, make it "exciting" for gamers.

Load time was good. Navigation at top was good feature. I started to suggest nav at bottom too, but it's probably not needed due to the size of the pages. I didn't find any "bugs", but there are several links that give a 404 error (for example, going to page two of awards and page two of freeware sites, etc.). I tried a few of the "get" links for games, and got the "page can not be displayed". Some opened in same window and some opened new browser window, I didn't know if that was intentional or even a problem (just mentioning for information).

I suggest that the drop-down menu for games be left justified to match with the about and links menus. That would add to uniformity. Since the rows are not links in themselves, only the wording, I thought the gmes links were not working at first since I went down the list since I wasn't directly over the wording. Or, another possibility would be to make the entire row and the wording a link. The color change on the mouseover suggests that it is a link, so it might be better as a link.

Overall and content is good, but I would suggest something, more color for example, to make it more "gamey".

On the technical, just a couple of spelling errors and some missing punctuation. I know some visitors won't pay attention to that, but taking care of those will add to the professionalism of all sites.

I give the site a 6.

North vs South? I don't have a game called that. Do you mean ata? That's just a remake of the game. But anyway, the link is fixed.

But anyway, the 404 errors on the arards and links pages should be fixed now. And I fixed the menu, so it is all left aligned.

But about the links: they should all open in a new window, so there's probably just some errors on some of the pages. Could you tell me which one you found that doesn't open in a new window? So I could fix that.
And the dead links is probably because I don't have any direct downloads, I'm just linking to the creators of the games. I will have to go through all of the links to see if all of them works. But could you tell me which one you found that doesn't work. So the job is a little bit easier for me.

I just wanted to add a couple comments.

I agree with Dave that a few more colors might help spruce up the site a bit.

As well, I would use some cell padding...

Ex.
Quote:
The reason for the lack of updates lately is that I've been moving the site to a different host, and changed a couple of things. those
That text is lined up almost touching the Grey backround. If you add some cell padding of say 5 or 10 pixels, it would make it look a little better IMO. Or since everything else is center aligned, maybe consider centering everything and see how that looks...

I like the Clean look of the site. Just some colors would make it more "gameable" (not a word is it )

There are also a number of sites where you can put your own java games on your site. Have you considered doing that? An example would be my game site at www.4evergames.com where all the games are hosted on my servers (some are down at the moment).

Overall, not a bad site at all. Could use some work, but good job!

Seems like the wrong version of my index page kept appearing
The news there wasn't the one that was supposed to appear

But anyway, that should be fixed now. Does this look any better?

Hey Erdnis, Looks like you took care of the 404 errors. I was kinda' randomly clicking on links to check functionality and I didn't click 'em all, so I will have to get back with you when I find broken or dead links.

That might be a good lesson - write down the links that aren't working whenever reviewing a site! Okay, I wrote that down to write them down as I find 'em.
