1) Site looks pretty good. I don't think you have to change much here. I don't care for your color scheme all that much, however. Only thing I have along these lines is that some of your icons (especially the ones in the downloads section) don't fit in and look kind of borrowed from other sites.

2) I go to crosswords and try to fill them out, and I find they're just a static image. I think it would take only a basic amount of Java to build a basic crossword puzzle program.

3) What kind of theme does your site have with regard to content? It seems kind of random.

4) Your forums aren't working at the moment.

I didn't see any problems in Firefox or IE7. (It actually looks better in IE)
However, I think the content in your "Random Pages" section should be
linked (clickable). Site loads pretty fast and nice design.

Hi there Jezza.
If you post in the wrong forum, it's better to notify a Mod and they'll move it for you.
Just use the "Report" button. I replied to your duplicate topic in the Web Design forum.

Really dont like the colors. I would suggest hiring a nicer designer to make it more easy on the eyes.

Don't be afraid of whitespace!
I think that left, tight and especially top borders of your navigation bar are not required. Just delete them. Everyone understands that "home", "forums" etc links are navigation, additional information is not needed.

Your main content is in the center of the page. So that text blocks in the left and right sides look like ad. try to put them after logo. And remember to use only 5-6 font types on page

Here's some comments:
  • I like the color scheme but it does feel a bit washed out (ie. too light).
  • Currently, it's showing some text overlapping the upper left corner that clearly doesn't belong there.
  • The rollover effect on the box links is working properly now.
  • I agree with previous comments about the lack of white space. It's a bit dense. Also agree that the left nav column is overkill. Perhaps centering the boxes and adding some space between them would look good.
  • I don't have a good sense of who your target audience is for this site. It seems to include a little bit of everything - from recipes to games. If I landed on your site I wouldn't know what to make of it and might leave because of that. Perhaps you could add something to the home page to orient visitors as to what your site offers - what is the unifying theme?
  • In all, great start and excellent work for someone starting out in their career.

Nice buttons but too much blue on the design.. Try to give some saturation to your orange color to make it more attractive. A small suggestion when designing a website remember to make it SEO friendly.

Like the name BEST OF LUCK
