I saw that. It looks pretty much the same now. Now to get the rollovers to work in IE6. :P

Yep the rollovers will be the next thing, but not forgetting transparent PNGs.... I think I'll have a days break from working on the redesign - IE6's bugs and working on their solutions can get very tiring!

I think changing the font has made a big difference!

To me the link boxes at the top look a little isolated from each other (a bit pre 2000) - I think they'd look better if the bar was continuous.

Something to think about (not necessarily an improvement) - have you thought about applying a repeating-y background image to the 'content' box to give the appearance of a shadow? I know, it's been done to death. You'll be putting reflections on your logo next

EDIT: Just had another look at your original design. If you're going to stick with the colour scheme, I'd try and use that gradient in the banner as that looks pretty good.

OK thanks Gringo. I think the font is a big improvement too. I'll see what it looks like with a continuous nav bar, and then decide. I wasn't really even thinking about that until you mentioned - thanks

I don't think I'll try anything with a repeating image - it would have to be transparent and I'm having a huge problem with IE6 and transparent PNGs - I simply can't seem to get it fixed

Thanks again all of you for your comments and suggestions - keep them coming if you can
