Hi all

basicaly in my home page i want a section where it shows coming up events...

But i also want something like web based calendar so i can input all entires online into some sql or something...then users can view the calendar so often and in the home page automaticaly everymonth you see the latest events that are coming so i dnt have to type it up eveyr month the events...is this possible? i know it is via CMS but is their alternatives?

Just Google for some free calendar scripts in you server side language of choice, or code your own. I needed one of the other day for a site I was developing and threw one up in an hour and it works a treat.

Yes, there's quite a few available if you go do some digging. Some are free and there are some pretty awesome paid one's, as well. It will depend on your precise needs/wants and such, but even a paid one isn't that expensive. And if you're budget wants "free", some of the free one's are pretty darned nice, too.

What i need is in the home page a section where it shows dates of forthcoming events...but this events if possible i wanted it entered backend somehow and every month that event coming to change ? i cant seem to find this anywhere
