Anyone know why only sometimes can I insert tables into other tables or cells and other times I get the big buster sign? Is there some command I'm missing?

if u are using the layout mode then this happens sometimes..

if this happens, go to the standard mode and design the tables and if u want come back to layout mode..

personally i prefer to use the standard mode.. gives me more flexibility..

Thanks so much - that did work - much better flexibility. I was also wondering why the view mode only allows me to shrink cells to a certain size but not smaller - why is it so tempermental? Anyone have any good methods for placing border colors of various widths on these? the only way I know how to do it is setting a cell inside of a table and showing different bachground colors. I would like to know if there is a way to place a border on just one border (like the bottom of the cell) and leaving no border color for the sides and top (similar to bold borders in a spreadsheet) Thank you.

I am getting a reasonable grip on HTML enough to branch out to other things so what would you recommend I focus on next, Learning how CSS works or PHP .... ?
