I dont know anything about html but I have a small logo link to my website which i'm trying to send to other link pages. I've attached two logos one image(gif) from my computer and one from my website(logo) onbikescotland.com/info.htm. (links page)
Do i have to draw up some html code to send to another site with the image logo, if so can someone tell me what the code should be? Sometimes when i try to put link code from another website onto my links page through Macromedia it doesnt work it just places the text on the site not the image?
When i try to send the image and the url in text alot of times the image doesnt arrive properly its a red cross?
Any help appreciated

First of all, you didn't attach any images here, so let's tackle what you're trying to accomplish ... my first advice is to learn Basic HTML; it sounds like you have an amount of limited knowledge.

I did look at the code on your site, and you have alot of code issues, especially with tables and your CSS should be in a separate file; and your copied javascript has alot of coding issues.

As for the code you're asking about...

<a href="http://www.yoursite.com">
<img src="http://www.yoursite.com/image name.jpg" alt="Image Description" border="0" /></a>

make sure the image URL is always available in that website, or the image will appear red cross.

Yes; improper coding will not validate, and in most cases will affect how your site displays in various browsers.

don't use active url links for image post u will do hotlinking and bandwidth theft
use a special image host - like www.imageshack.de

Hotlinking can have a lot of undesirable consequences. One is the so-called "switcheroo". If you've linked to an image on someone's server, what's to prevent them from changing the image you linked to? This can have humorous results. Since most sites, forums, etc. have strict policies about offensive images, it wouldn't take much for an aggravated webmaster you've been stealing bandwidth from to shut you down completely with an unwanted "switcheroo".

Displaying an image or file that doesn't belong to could be a violation of copyright, making you open to litigation. The owner of the file could utilize DMCA law to have your site shut down and your information given for use in legal proceedings.
