Hai,

I have created some rollover images using dream viewer. but ie 6 and 7 blocks the rollovers and displays the Yello big horizontal bar on top of the page.

any idea to by pass this block in IE?
I know how to enable "scripting" in the ie security menu. but this not possible with every user accessing our webpage.

Ple friends advise me

without code....nothing!

DW option for rollover is so simple. Choose 2 images and that's all!
Send us code.

Sorry very very sorry for the delayed reply
I had to stay away from the pc for about 24 hours (Chicken Gunya)

Ok. i wonder why do all asking for the code. what i am talking about is just a 'Rollover Image' in dream viewer. (May be 'Rollover Image' is not what your all calling. check my attachment)

You could have test it by taking a blank page an placing a rollover image in the page. if run that your ie browser will block it from rolling over.

Today i found the solution. it is if you run the page with rollover from the local hard drive, IE blocks it. if it is loaded through the webserver ie does not.

Please check the attached html file.

Rollovers should work locally as well as from the web server. If by 'blocked' you mean you get a warning from IE, than that is part of your browser settings. Better NOT to use DW's moldy old roll-over scripting anyway.

Since all you're doing is underlining the word/link, you'd be a LOT better off using CSS with REAL text rather than text in an image.
BTW, my Dreamweaver blocks nothing - I preview your little example page in IE and it works fine. DW will NOT show you scripted events in it's internal viewer.

Works perfectly fine
There's no difference between local or webserver.

Hail all masters!

I have the same question.
I think me and afridy share the same problem.

The thing is, in case you HAVE to use rollover image instead of CSS, the javascript code that is generated by dreamweaver causes a warning in internet explorer and does not function properly without manually activating it.

The question is, how to disable the IE warning, OR as LadynRed said, what can we use instead of rollover?

Here is an example. I did notice you were using .png? Why I don't know. That may be your problem. None the less, here is an example with the images converted to .gif and css applied.
