That was a good read, thanks for posting those. I'm wondering if some print designers who haven't adapted for the web properly have got a grudge to bear? Nevertheless, we are working in an environment that is still really in it's infancy and ever changing.

The articles reminded me of when the automotive industry started 100 or so years ago. There were hundreds of manufacturers, each building their cars in their own way with no interchangable parts (and thus hard/expensive to maintain). As time went by the industry standardised the means of production and techniques and the result are the ultra modern vehicles we drive today - very adaptable and easy to maintain.
