Anyone here a member of the HTML Writers Guild? Just wondering what your impressions are of it. I know they offer classes there. Wondering if it's nice to join?
Sorry Tom. I saw your post the other day, but not being a member I wasn't sure if I had much to say. I'm not big on joining these kind of things. I doubt the classes would be worth the price and prefer to teach myself. The main reason I would think to join an organization like this would be if it could provide a networking opportunity.
I thought about joining a loooong time ago when I used to see the HWG 'badge' on lots of sites. I don't think it's nearly as popular as it once was and rarely see the badge on sites any more.

When I first got into building sites I noticed their logo more often and thought about joining too. I think a lack of money kept from joining back then, but a few years later and I I have no regrets.
When it comes to working online it's really more about what you can do and less about what someone else certifies you can do.
