Hey guys, Im new to this board and Im new to PHP so please bare with me.
FIRST PROBLEM:
What Im trying to do, is make a website with 3 columns. I'll have links on the left and right column and they will load up a page in the middle column(almost like an IFRAME), how do I do that? could somebody maybe show me the code(maybe explain a little bit of it too)
simple enough I hope.
Next Problem:
now say I have a poll on the right column and I want to change the poll every week to a new one, I don't want to have to change it on all the pages, just on one, is there something that will automatically read my changes on one page and change on all the other pages? get what I mean?
so if somebody could help me on those 2 problems, or even just one I would really appreciate it.

Have you taken a look at PostNuke http://postnuke.com/ . It is a content management system which can be set up with left, middle, and right collumns. It can be set up for links, polls, etc. The software is used on the site, if you want to take a look.

PostNuke eh? I was thinking of it before, but I'd rather not use it inless I absolutely have to. I was thinking of making a main template that would be used for all pages and than for the left and right columns use PHP Include that would insert the left and right column info and than to change polls and stuff I would just have to change the right.php page. Would this be a good way to do it, cause if it isn't I'll use post nuke. The only reason I don't want to use Post Nuke is I would like to make the template myself so I could learn more PHP
