Hello all.

I just bought Dreamweaver and I can not seem to see any thing but lettering in my split view, design. So I played with it a bit and now see nothing in design. The code is there but nothing else. Any ideas?

Thanks Trevor

Read the help section and the tutorials if you dont know the basic on how to use Dreamweaver.

If you have not made anything in the page then there wont be anything in the design veiw.

I dont use design veiw myself anyways I think it codes page poorly and makes for lazy designers if your not coding your pages you dont stay at a high level with your coding and come accross allsorts of problems.

Code veiw is the way to go I also Like to Make my sites using W3C valid code Normally in fluid designs and using Dreamweaver template files and CSS.

I find this combination works so well for designs and future editing and redesigns.

i agree.. dreamweaver is rigid and since i've always coded via notepad or a simple html editor, it made dreamweaver seem like a whole new learning curve that had nothing to do with learning HOW to make a webpage.. but rather how to USE DREAMWEAVER...

Can you show us the code you DO have ??
Dreamweaver should display what you've got in your code virtually instantaneously.

What code do you have there though?

Are you entering the right src for the images?

That would be my guess too, your src for the images isn't pointing to the right place. Are you using relative or absolute URL's to your images ??
