Hi,
I am new to web creation/development.

I am using Dreamweaver 8.

I have gone through some tutorials but I still don't know how to place my graphic images in a precise location on a blank page.

When I insert a graphic image it appears in the top left land corner of the page.

How do I move the graphic image to Precisely/Exactly where I want it to be on the Page?

Thank you,

Charles

Wow, this is like a nightmare.

I tried everything that I could think of from what everyone said and I still can't get it.

Here is a Screen Shot of where I'm at now;

Can I move this Precisely where I want it to be using Code?
This is the Code, at present;
<body>
<table width="760" height="575" border="1">
<tr>
<td width="515" height="50"> <table width="445" height="112" border="1" align="center">
<tr>
<td width="1700">&nbsp;</td>
</tr>
</table></td>
</tr>
</table>

There are a few ways you can go about this.

My suggestion is doing some tutorials on HTML and then when you feel comfortable editing it in text mode, then move on to learning some basic CSS.

I'm farily new to Dreamweaver as well, but I think I may have a solution for you. Try using a layer for your image (insert>layout objects>layer). You can then place your picture inside the layer and move it freely around the page.

By the way, lynda.com is a great site for learning Dreamweaver. They have a tutuorial movie libarary with great information. I found it to be laid out more logically than the books I've purchased or the Dreamweaver tutorial. You can try the first few chapters of the Dreamweaver tutorials free to see if you like them. The subscription fee for site is $25/month and well worth it in my opinion.
