I have been looking for an editor of some sort to use for my members on my website: Writers-Pen Members to use. My members write poems and stories and all the PHP program provides that I am using is a blank field. I really need if it is possible a WYSIWYG editor that can be used for them to write their works in and be able to use HTML kinda like this editor. and what it does. Can anyone help in this?

after you suggested checking it out. I am stuck now. I do not find anything that tells me what to do next ... like how to add this in my php files to allow my members to use the editor to create and edit their works. How would it post the things they create? Where would it post it? How do they call the editor up?

I went to their forum, and see no where to ask these questions. I like the look of the editor, but it too does not have a submit button in which to submit anything.

I am so new at all this. Can you help?

I need to be able to heave my members to use it like this editor is being used for me to write to you. Then it posts my results to this forum. I wish I knew how to ask this all correctly, but like I said, I am not a programmer, and this is new and confusing .... HELP! BTW thanks for helping so far! All TinyMCE basicly does is transform your <textarea> form fields into WYSIWYG editors. You still need to build your form and have it submitted somewhere. The text the user enters into the editor will be HTML code when the form is submitted. This code is then ususally stored in a database.

Do you have a way for users to submit content now? Converting it to a WYSIWYG editor will be pretty easy. I'd be happy to make the change for you if you need me too.

Yes, there is already an area that my members write into and hit submit that posts their writings, but it doesn not allow them to do anything else. They can write their own html and it will display it. Most of my members do not know how to use html though.

I have uploaded the TinyMCE. I just don't know how to incorporate it and make it work.

The program that my website is working is called SiteFrame. It is written in PHP. I basically started this after hurricane Katrina as a way to help people write their feelings out and give back to the community as a non profit org. So far it has been a struggle to get off the ground. I am in real need for an editor, a way to allow members to rate one another better, and a way to find the Top Ten of the Month best Writer.

I would appreciate any help you can offer. One day, we will be able to pay for help, but right now we are grateful to have people like you help us. What do I need to do?

There are a few Special People that I have met in my life's journey, I just have to let this community know how wonderful ... Anacrusis is! I'd go for FCKEditor.net . A much better online WYSIWYG editor!
