I'm trying to make a website but don't know which html editor to choose, i'm not trying to spend a lot of money.

Here are the one's i'm looking at...

• CoffeeCup HTML Editor 2006
• CuteHTML (? Pro)
• 1st Page 2006 (but is too slow i don't know if the full version is the same way.)

does anyone have any recomendations? or comments on any of these editors?

If you have fantastico in your Cpanel, you could check there for some free editors... probably not as good as the one's you can purchase though.

I've never used editors. I code mine in notepad so that I can keep learning and try to stay sharp.

The choice in an editor seems to be a lot about personal preferences. As long as it will do a few basic things it's really fine. And you can use notepad if you want.

I prefer a little more from an editor, like syntax highlighting which makes it easier to find specific code. I also like an editor that can ftp and edit pages on a server in real time. The only one I've been able to find that does it the way I want is HTML Kit. I'm not crazy about it as an editor and there are several others I would like better if they included ftp the way I want. It is a free editor though.

An other free editor I recently installed though haven't used yet is Programmers Notepad It looks pretty good and is again free.
