Hi all, i have a two problems, firstly i'm using dreamweaver mx and when i try to preview in firefox the window opens blank, and in internet explorer and aol it comes up page cannot be displayed. i'm not sure if this is related but now i keep getting an error message saying "index.htm is a site-relative link, please use either an absolute or document relative link" when i try making a flash button.

secondly, the site i am making needs a message board (forum) which i have never done before, does anyone have any advice on this sybject.

Dreamweaver can be kind of a pain to set up properly. First, make sure in your prefs. that you have all your browsers set up to preview files.
next make sure your site is in a folder and defined in the menu site/manage sites.
This should clear up your problem, but i suggest you look through the Dreamweaver help/getting started page for a full explanation of how to set up your sites and files.

Some are free and some cost $$ I usually use PHP BB, because they have great support forums...because whatever you use eventually will break and it's nice to have someone around that can help you fix it.
